The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it's alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior status sassa quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area daily. The assistance level made for intervention encounters a significant inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to enable the servicing of all consumers and enhance usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
